Abstract

This article examines a passage relative to Paravicino and Felipe IV includedin the poem 167 of Rimas humanas y divinas del licenciado Tomé de Burgillosby Lope de Vega. Starting from the editio princeps of 1634 and attending tothe modern editions of the work, ecdotic aspects (punctuation and possiblecorrections) and different interpretative questions about metaphors, motifsand allusions presents in the text are studied, because not always has beencorrectly analized. The analysis proves the complex and conceptist literatureof Burguillos, which integrates historic, mythological and costumbristelements and references.
