Abstract
In this work we dwell on the convergences and divergences of thelexicon of the age in distinct peninsular and American modalities ofthe Spanish language based on a compared, diachronic and diatopicresearch. We analyse a corpus of historical texts (from the XVI to theXIX centuries) and an oral corpus (20th century), with samples of distinctdialects.
