Abstract
In this article I describe the poetics of uncertainty in three works by the Mexicanwriter Elena Garro. Through a close reading of two of her novels, Testimoniossobre Mariana and Reencuentro de personajes, and one autobiographicalpiece, Memorias de España 1937, I build a complex pool of literary proceduresthat Garro develops that, ultimately combined and intertwined, lead to anambiguous and peculiar prose.
