Abstract

This is a general view of the Jewish Literature in Mexico, taking into consideration the narrations and poetical texts written by the second and third generation of Jewish immigrants, who write mainly in Spanish and exceptionally in English. To analyze this material −that includes fourteen authors and thirty texts− I have considered the following entries: Sepharadh, Holocaust, Memory and writing, Kibbutz, Patriarchic law, and Tradition and orphanage. These entries have been conceived as various expressions of a single subject: being a Jew.
