Abstract

This article analyzes two characters in Cervantes’ Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda (Arnaldo and the pilgrim from Talavera), working on the idea of the pilgrim as a concept. This approach discusses Cervantes’s practice of creating different forms of pilgrimage that establish a dialogue between each other that is often contrasting.
