Abstract

This article presents a collection of ethnographic and folkloric documents (folk songs, folk legends and tales, local anecdotes, oral history, toponimy) that evoke the war of Independence of Spanish people against French Army (1808-1814). Materials and testimonies derived or registered from oral traditions of some villages of Spain, between xixth century and the beginnings of xxith century, are analyzed.
