Abstract
Before getting to Rome, the pilgrims of Persiles meet a “handsome pilgrimman” in an hostelry. H e is constituting a book of “rare aphorisms” frommaxims registered and signed by pilgrims whom he meets.In this work weemphasize how this type of collection and the characters, who are the authors of the aphorisms, take back to various cultural traditions which weanalyse.
