Abstract
With the intention to draw some more general conclusions, the articlecarries out an inquiry into the use of paradoxical narration and constructionof the fantastic in some short stories of Julio Cortázar. After clarifyingthe concept of paradoxical narration and modelling its different forms, itis given a definition of the fantastic by reason of a modified version of TzvetanTodorov’s theory of the fantastic in literature.
