Abstract

This paper studies the use that authors of different times do of a verseof Ovid’s Metamorphoses. In this use a variant takes place that leads tobelieve there has been a mistake in the manuscript’s transmission andthat justifies the reading that does of him Garcilaso de la Vega in hissecond eclogue. It is a reading that the Brocense already proposes tocorrect but that must be left as Carlos Amorós edited it because it is awork of the own author.
