Abstract

This study, carried out from a philological-pragmatical point of view, analysesthe medical-pharmacological words, arising from the Arabic language,found in Baena song-book (Cancionero de Baena, 15th century). Such wordsare used preferably in a figurative meaning (religious, spiritual or politic),and some of them are testified the first time here: alcatenez, alfaxor, algaçafán,arquelfa, atanquía and julepe.
